A400M Europe's Most Modern Military AifcraftEuropean Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS) developed the biggest and the most modern military aircraft at a cost of $20 billion euros. It is also the biggest military cooperation project.

A400M aircraft is a four-engine turboprop, a military transport aircraft and was designed by the Airbus Military. Can accommodate over 120 fully equipped troops or up to 66 stretchers with 10 medical staff and two helicopter. With a maximum take off weight of 136.5 ton and a 560 km/h speed.

It was year 2003 when the project begins and seven countries participated which includes Turkey, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg and Britain. According to the Turkey's State Minister Kursad Tuzmen, they earned almost 1.5 billion euros from the said project and also some of the parts of the said aircraft came from Turkey.

The A400M Military Aircraft is well-equipped with new technologies with a double-cargo capacity both are in payload and volume.m The range of A400M also increased.

TUSAS or the Turkish Aerospace Industries began exporting the A400M Aircraft. They already sold eight aircraft to South Africa, four to Malaysia and there are lots of orders that are need to finish.

The A400M aircraft test flight is scheduled for the end of summer 2008. In year 2010, the first A400M aircraft will be delivered to France. 180 A400M aircraft will be delivered to the seven partner nations and 10 aircraft will be delivered to Turkey in 2009.
